My Real Desire review
What is My Real Desire?
My Real Desire is an adult visual novel developed by Oldcat that places you in the role of a recent graduate starting a new life in an unfamiliar city. After securing your first job, you move into a shared house where your daily routine quickly becomes intertwined with the lives of several attractive female housemates. The game blends slice-of-life storytelling with romantic and explicit encounters, creating a sandbox-style experience where friendship, seduction, and desire evolve naturally through player choices.
Unlike linear visual novels, My Real Desire emphasizes player agency. You decide how relationships develop, whether you pursue deep emotional bonds or focus on physical intimacy. The title stands out for its respectful approach to character boundaries, allowing you to build a harem while preserving the virginity of certain women if that aligns with your preferred narrative.
Story and Characters in My Real Desire
The narrative begins with your character settling into the shared house. Each day brings organic interactions with the female residents, whose distinct personalities shape the evolving story. The women are written with depth, offering varied attitudes toward romance, friendship, and sexuality that feel believable within the fantasy setting.
Through repeated conversations and shared activities, bonds strengthen and romantic routes open. The story explores themes of mutual attraction, consent, and personal discovery. Some characters are more forward, while others require patience and genuine connection before becoming intimate. This variety keeps the experience fresh across multiple playthroughs.
Key Female Characters
- The outgoing and playful housemate who initiates many early encounters
- The reserved intellectual whose guarded nature makes every milestone rewarding
- The free-spirited artist open to exploring multiple forms of physical pleasure
- The supportive and caring figure who values emotional intimacy alongside physical acts
Every choice influences dialogue, relationship meters, and the types of intimate scenes that unlock, giving the story strong replay value.
Gameplay Mechanics and Intimate Content
My Real Desire uses a sandbox structure rather than a rigid chapter system. You manage your daily schedule, choosing where to spend time and with whom. Relationship values increase through dialogue options, gifts, and shared activities, eventually leading to animated sex scenes.
The intimate content is varied and explicit. Scenes include oral caresses, vaginal intercourse, creampies, handjobs, and foot play. Animations are smooth and synchronized to the action, showing different positions and levels of intensity based on relationship progression. The game tracks individual character flags, so pursuing multiple women simultaneously creates unique dynamics and potential jealousy or group scenarios.
Importantly, the developer allows players to respect certain characters’ virginity status. You can enjoy romantic routes without forcing sexual content on every woman, offering flexibility for different player preferences.
Visuals, Animation, and Production Quality
Oldcat’s art style in My Real Desire features clean character sprites with expressive facial animations and detailed backgrounds of the shared house. Lighting and shading enhance the sensual atmosphere during intimate moments. The women are rendered with realistic proportions and distinct body types that match their personalities.
Animated scenes are a highlight. Rather than static CGs, many encounters feature frame-by-frame animation showing movement, breathing, and physical reactions. Sound design includes voice acting for key lines, realistic sound effects, and an original soundtrack that shifts from relaxed daytime tracks to more seductive tones during private moments.
The user interface is intuitive, with clear relationship trackers and a journal that records unlocked scenes and important choices. This prevents confusion even as multiple romance routes run in parallel.
